Thriller by Michael Jackson on i. Tunes. One of the Greatest Albums Ever and the Best Pop Album Ever. Tasdiq Ahmed. I reviewed the Special Edition album and said that 7 out of the 9 songs on this album were singles. I also said that my favorites are "Thriller", "Beat It", "Billie Jean" (the song in which he performed the first moonwalk on the television special "Motown 2. Yesterday, Today, Forever"), and "P. Y. T. (Pretty Young Thing)".
The rest of the songs are also great, and I'm not not saying that you won't like them. This album cannot disappoint. Also, the release date is incorrect, for it was released on December 1, 1. Epic Records. A 2. These songs were the basis of today's pop/R& B music and some of today's artists are ruining it. To all pop/R& B singers and future singers also, please make music that can relate to this music. Thank you. A must- haveby.
Unlived. Phalanx. It's awesome that i. Tunes finally got THRILLER. It's one of those albums that is kind of like a status- symbol if you have the vinyl.
If you're younger and just discovering Thriller, then you should know this album made Jackson a household name. Either way, Thriller is a must buy for any fan of the king of pop, Michael Jackson. The best- selling, and yes, best, album ever made. Period. by. rymikes. Is there anyone out there with the voice, dance movies, lyrics, or sheer prescence of Michael Jackson?
After listening to this album there is only one answer. No. Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' is the paranoid dance anthem of all time, with the immortal chant, "Mama- se, mama- sa, mama- cosa!" It showcases his vocal talent early on, but is an odd choice for opening song. Baby Be Mine is perhaps the most forgotten song on the album, but also I think a great companion with P.
Y. T.. They both have a romantic, funky vibe to them that I love. The Girl Is Mine (With Paul Mc.
Cartney) is two music legends casually sparring over a girl, with hilarious, romantic results. One of the the least well- recieved songs on the album, also one of the best. Thriller practically kills the momentum that the album starts up, only to start up a new intensity and fun that continues on. However, the true cultural impact of the song were in the dance, and the music video, which happens to be the greatest of all time.
A great dance track, fun homage to old horror flicks. Beat It is a song with a great message, and one of the all- time great guitar solos by Eddie Van Halen.
Billie Jean is my favorite song of all time, a funky, emotional, perhaps disturbing cry out to his over- obsessive fans with an incredible beat, and it also showcases his moonwalk. Human Nature is an odd one. After the beat- driven dance songs, we get a slow- tempo romantic song with cryptic lyrics.
However, the sheer beauty of it is just incredible. P. Y. T. (Pretty Young Thing) is a great disco spinner with a happy, sunshine feel and cutesy lyrics. The Lady In My Life is the weakest song on the album that is still pretty good, but the lyrics and vibe are uninspired. A sour taste towards the end of the greatest album ever, but is forgivable. I think the 1. 0s and 9s definetely outweigh the 7.
Tunes, and want to experience a cultural phenomenon, then please, look no further than Thriller. Year Old Music Addict.
Michael Jackson: Thriller (Video 1. You can say what you'd like about Michael Jackson, but songs like ''Bad'', ''Thriller'' and ''Billie Jean'' has stunned the pop- world.
But this is out of the ordinary. It is more than a music video (I think it is the best ever), to me it is a short 1. Even better is the influences from George A. Romero's legendary Death- movies. How much can you say about a music video? Michael Jackson- fans have probably already seen it, but I still have got to tell them, and everyone else, about this remarkable and historic video.
